Noren WINS in Crans again…

Alex Noren wins in style shooting 65 in the final round and then making a decisive birdie on the first play off hole to Win the European Masters for the second time.

Noren used this special practice swing the whole week to feel the dominance of his RIGHT hand in the swing and exactly this feeling took him all the way to the trophy and his second win of the season.

It was a fantastic event in Crans and as always it ended in Drama as Scott Hend fought Noren till the last putt for the title.

If you watched and were surprised by the difficulty of the greens then I recommend that you take the time to visit Crans and experience them for yourself because they are BRUTAL!!!!

Westwood makes a late charge…..

Darren Clarke will have been very happy to see Lee Westwood playing so well after making him a Captain’s pick for the Ryder Cup team this week

Westwood played a great round on Sunday and finished in 4th place after a round of 63 that was the low round of the day.

Fellow Ryder Cupper Mathew Fitzpatrick shot 64 to finish in tied 7th place after finishing with 2 birdies on Friday to make the cut on the number required.

Hickory Dream 4-Ball in Crans

I don’t know who’s idea it was(probably Paolo’s)to put on the Hickory show after finish of play on Saturday in Crans but it was a HUGE hit with the spectators and they were treated to two very special holes of golf.

Paolo Quirici,Lee Westwood,Miguel Angel Jimenez and Danny Willet carrying their own bags, dressed in traditional golf clothing, playing with wooden shafted clubs, sharing laughs and jokes like you’ll never see in any other event and playing by the old rules of golf where marking of the ball on the green wasn’t allowed.

Lee,Miguel and Danny played for the first time with such antique clubs and shots did seem to stray a little wider than normal from such superstars but eventually Lee and Danny tied at level par and a Chip Off was won by Lee in classic fashion next to the 18th green.

Congratulations Crans Montana for having such a great idea and putting on an Incredible show that was enjoyed by all…..
